Spicy Slow Cooked Eye of Round Roast

  • 1 Red River Ranch Angus eye of round roast, 1 to 2 pounds
  • 2 teaspoons fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning blend
  • 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ cup beef broth
  • 1 package (8 ounces) fresh mushrooms, sliced


  1. In a small bowl, combine garlic, Cajun seasoning, hot pepper sauce, olive oil and beef broth.
  2. Place roast in slow cooker, pour mixture and mushrooms over the roast, and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or until roast reaches an internal temperature of 145°F as measured on a meat thermometer for medium doneness. Serve with a mixture of steamed broccoli, cauliflower and carrots.
